Reynella Hyundai is pleased to announce the introduction of the All-New Elantra. Born of Hyundai's "fluidic sculpture" design language, the Elantra represents a sporty, aerodynamic, eye-catching iteration, combined with leading edge interior packaging for added comfort and space. Featuring State-Of-The-Art technology and dynamics optimised for Australian drivers and a zippy, efficient drive train to match. The Elantra demonstrates "big car thinking, now in a smaller package".
Exterior
Inspired by the interplay of wind and rigid surface to create the perception of constant motion, the Fluidic Sculpture design theme seen in the ix35 and i45 can now be seen in the All-New Elantra. It's stylish, sleek curves and lower roof line projects a sporty and dynamic style. These design cues have not only made the All-New Elantra to be stylish but resulted in many benefits including improved aerodynamics and lower air resistance to improve fuel economy and reduced wind noise levels.
Interior
The bold and innovative design language from the exterior is followed through to the interior. Use of soft-touch paints and chrome inserts (Piano Black Inserts in Elite and Premium) provide premium touches throughout the cabin. From the steering wheel layout through to the air conditioning controls, every moment has been carefully considered in this well-designed and smartly appointed interior.
Performance
The Elantra is fitted with the All-New 1.8L Nu Petrol engine, the newest member to the engine family. Made from all-aluminium, it's lighter, more powerful whilst delivering better fuel economy than the out-going 2.0L that it replaces. With Duel Continuously Variable Timing (D-CVVT), the new Elantra has approx. 5% boost in performance and 11% improvement in fuel economy.
Safety
Equipped with class leading safety features such as Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), the All-New Elantra is not just a stylish vehicle. Designed to achieve a 5 star ANCAP rating, the All-New Elantra is equipped with the following features across the entire page:
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC) incorporating Traction Control System (TCS);
- 6 airbags including front side (thorax) and side curtain airbags;
- Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).
Ride & Handling
The All-New Elantra's suspension and steering have been specifically calibtrated for local driving conditions, to accommodate Australia's unique road surfaces.
Testing was undertaken in Australia for the optimum front and rear suspension combination, together with revised mapping of the control unit on the Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS). The result is a considerably sportier driving experience but with enough built-in compliance to smooth out our rougher road.
