I Even Bought In A Carton Of Beer For Everyone To Share Just A Few Days Later

Featured Customer Review

This month’s featured customer review is courtesy of Brydie from Para Vista who recently purchased a Ford Ranger from Adrian Brien Ford.

Thank you Brydie for choosing Adrian Brien Ford!

“To whome it may concern,

After going to a few other dealerships I came into your dealership tossing up between a few different makes and models of 4WD and not really feeling confident with previous information and customer service I had received earlier that day.

During my visit I got a lot of support, information and confidence with making a decision from Simon, Peter and Neil who took me step by step through everything I needed to know and helping me pick out something that I would be really happy with. They even searched other dealerships that you are connected with to find me the right car and also pointed out the differences and found me a model with all the things I wanted but still keeping in with my budget and requirements that I was looking for.

The process was long as I spent a good frew hours there but they spent the time with me and would check to see how it was all going which I really appreachiated, along with offering me drinks and generally chatting and joking and not making it feel like they just wanted my money. (A feeling I got when at other dealerships).

I have now had my Ranger for just over a month and can not be more happier with it and the decision they helped me make, I have told everyone about the amazing service that I received through the experience and definitely have been recommending you to not only friends and family but even customers at work.

A great job should never go unnoticed and unfortunately for many it does, so I wanted to take the time to write to you and tell you how happy I am that I even bought in a carton of beer for everyone to share just a few days later.

I hope this letter finds the right people so that they are recognised for the fantastic work they did and know how much I appreachiated their help.

Kind regards,

Brydie
Extremely happy Ford Ranger owner!”

Designed For Purpose

Not just tough. Purpose-built tough. From it’s bold new front-end design, to the proven durability of it’s ultra-strength chassis and the tools that help you get the job done, smarter. The 2015 Ford Ranger gives new meaning to “intelligent design”.

The Ford Ranger face lift includes a bold front end inspired by Ford‘s North American commercial range, which brings with it new headlights, a chunky trapezoidal grille, revised fog lights and a new bonnet.

Innovative Technology

Brains meet brawn. One of the toughest trucks around is also one of the smartest. The 2015 Ford Ranger XLT is packed with advanced technology, like SYNC™2 – make calls, control the interior temperature or use satellite navigation to find your way out of tricky situations. Totally hands-free.

Interior enhancements propel the Ford Ranger into a new league in terms of technology and active safety features. Available in the new ute is Ford’s Sync 2 multimedia system, along with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant, driver impairment monitor, front and rear parking sensors, electrically assisted steering and a 240-volt power socket inside the cabin.

These new technologies are complemented by dual-TFT screens that sit alongside the speedometer and display critical vehicle, entertainment and navigation information.

Much of the 2015 Ford Ranger’s design and engineering work was completed in Australia and Ford Asia Pacific vehicle line director Richard Tilley said the team had its work cut out for it to improve on the current model.

Built To Perform

With a powerful, more fuel-efficient 3.2L TDCi turbo-charged diesel engine pumping out a massive 470Nm of torque and the comprehensive Dynamic Stability Program with Hill Launch Assist and Rollover Mitigation, the Ford Ranger gets you where you need to go, in total control.

Ford has improved the Ranger’s engine line-up with fuel efficiency gains across the board, partly thanks to the addition of stop-start technology, which improves fuel use by 3.5 per cent.

The headline act, the 3.2-litre Duratorq five-cylinder turbocharged diesel, benefits from an 18 per cent fuel efficiency gain thanks to an updated exhaust gas reticulation system. Power and torque outputs remain the same with 147kW of power and 470 Nm of torque.

Ford’s 2.2-litre Duratorq four-cylinder turbocharged diesel delivers significant fuel efficiency gains according to the car maker in addition to more power and torque, boosting outputs to 118kW and 385Nm respectively (up from 110kW/375Nm).

The only petrol engine available in Ranger, the 2.5-litre Duratec naturally aspirated petrol, remains unchanged, producing 122kW of power and 225Nm of torque.

Total Capability

Take on whatever the world throws at you. Raging river? No problem. Backbreaking load? Easy. The Ford Ranger’s unsurpassed 800mm water wading and 3,500kg towing capacity on 4x4s make light work of big challenges.

The Ford Ranger retains its impressive four-wheel-drive specs with a wading depth of 800mm, 230mm ground clearance and 28-degree approach and 25-degree departure angles. A control knob within the cabin allows the driver to change between two- and four-wheel-drive modes, in addition to engaging a low-range four-wheel-drive mode with an electronic locking rear differential.

A 3500kg towing capacity remains, making the Ford Ranger one of the most capable towing vehicles in it’s class.

An all-new electrically assisted steering system helps manoeuvre the Ford Ranger at low speeds while tightening up and varying based on speed, cornering force, acceleration, decelleration and steering wheel angle.

More Power And Fuel Economy

There’s nothing better than knowing you have the power to get the job done but also the fuel economy to get it done efficiently. With the line of TDCi engines, the Ford Ranger delivers all the muscle you need along with big fuel savings.

The Power Train That Delivers Whenever You Need It

Powering the Ford Ranger is the new generation of TDCi Duratorq engines, tested to operate at 400m below and 4,500m above sea-level. So whether you’re driving along the beach on Fraser Island or climbing the road to Mt. Kosciuszko, you’ll have complete confidence that the Ford Ranger is more than capable.

The powerful 3.2L TDCi Diesel engine delivers 147kW power and 470Nm torque with peak torque available from 1,500 to 2,750 rpm. It uses a Variable Geometry Turbo-charger, which enables lower end torque capability to improve launch and drive ability to optimise fuel efficiency.

The economical 2.2L TDCi Diesel engine delivers 110kW power and 375Nm torque. It offers exceptional fuel consumption as low as 7.6L/100km and only 203g/km of CO2 emissions*.

The 2.5L Duratec Petrol engine delivers 122kW and 225Nm torque. It uses variable cam technology for enhanced performance, fuel economy and to help minimise emissions.

Six Speed Automatic Transmission

The highly advanced six speed sequential automatic transmission, featuring manual sports mode with brake shift interlock and manual over ride is effortlessly smooth. The intelligent transmission includes:

  • Driver recognition: tailors its response to individual driving styles.
  • Grade control logic: when driving downhill, with sufficient brake pedal pressure, the transmission will downshift to provide increased engine braking.
  • Emergency downshift: automatically downshifts to a lower gear if the throttle pedals is pushed hard for heavy acceleration in an emergency situation.
  • Brake support: enables early downshifting during heavy braking, to provide engine braking and to optimise gear selection for throttle re-application response.

* 7.6L/100km and 203g/km of CO2 emissions achieved with Ford Ranger 4×2 Single Cab and 4×2 Single Cab Hi-Rider and 4×2 Double Cab Hi-Rider in Manual Transmission with 2.2L Diesel Engine. Fuel consumption and emissions figures are per Australian Design Rule 81/02 (combined cycle). Note that the actual fuel consumption and emissions will depend on many factors including your driving habits, prevailing conditions and your vehicle’s equipment, condition and use.
