Pictured here is Renee Durden one of the Adtrans Automotive Group staff handing over the $10,000 check to Phil De Pinto and Steve Maras who both represent the Living Without Limits Foundation.
The Living Without Limits Foundation is a genuine not-for-profit organisation established in 2012 by four very passionate and enthusiastic friends, all committed to simply doing something positive to help children impaired in some capacity.
The Foundation works extremely hard to raise funds for very “specific” purposes – to fund critical research, support various children’s organisations, assist in developmental practices and purchase all-important equipment – as determined by the Foundation’s Board, which is very ‘hands on’.
Living Without Limits seeks to help all children to overcome challenges, be participatory, set and achieve their goals and maximise their potential. It works to break down barriers and restrictions and provide opportunities.
It is very much all geared to supporting organisations, projects and initiatives that will ultimately assist affected children and their families.
The Foundation is particularly committed to supporting initiatives relating to Autism and Cerebral Palsy.
Adtrans Charity Golf Day 2014 Raises $171,000… Another Record!
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who contributed and / or participated in the 2014 Adtrans Charity Golf Day. This year we successfully raised more than $171,000 with the majority of funds being distributed to Riding For The Disabled, Camp Quality and Youth Opportunities.
The Adtrans Annual Charity Golf Day was held on Friday the 21st of November 2014 at the Glenelg Golf Club with 120 golfers and a massive 180 guests for dinner.
A special thank you also to Belinda and Lee who helped organise and take care of the Adrian Brien Automotive fundraising stand, which, the theme for this year was “Mexican” with sombreros, cacti and a pinata.
Some comments from Shaun Swift our General Manager, SA Cars:
“Thank you for your wonderful and generous support of the Adtrans Annual Charity Golf Day which was held on Friday the 21st of November 2014 at the Glenelg Golf Club.
This year’s event attracted 120 golfers and a massive 180 guests for dinner. It was another outstanding success. The success of this day is underpinned by the kindness, the generosity and the compassion shown by so many people like yourself who care about people in need, who need a little help.
We are thrilled to be able to tell you that we raised a total of just over $171,000 on the day and at the dinner, another record amount!
The majority of the 2014 funds have been distributed to Riding For The Disabled, Camp Quality and Youth Opportunities and several smaller charities as previously advised at the dinner.
In addition we again donated a number of iPads to schools for children with very special needs as we have now done for a number of years.
The gratitude shown by these recipients is extraordinary. Some advise they would not survive without our support. The beneficiaries are widespread, diverse but all are totally grateful. You should be proud of what your contribution delivers.
Next year will be our 28th golf day, it will be held on Friday the 20th of November 2015.
Please put that date in your diary right now, official invitations will go out closer to the event.
