I Want To Buy A Car And Need To Know How Much It’s Worth
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Hello, my name is Brenton and I want to buy a car and need to know how much it’s worth. I’m planning to buy a 1996 Ford Transit Van from a private seller for $4,500 and would like to know if that is it’s selling price.
Q: I would like to book my car in for a service but still need a car to get around in – do you offer loan cars?
A: Thank you for this great question. Yes! We do offer loan cars through our Service Department. We are happy to provide our customers with a loan vehicle and certify that the vehicle is roadworthy and registration is current. However, our insurance providers require us to collect driver identification before a vehicle can be used by our customers.
This agreement is not intended to be a car rental agreement or transfer title to you. Our insurance cover for the vehicle is for its market value and damage to third party property is covered to $30,000,000. This cover and any subsequent claim are subject to the terms and conditions of this policy including the payment of an excess in the event of lodging an insurance claim.
The basic excess is $3,000 or alternatively you can pay an excess waiver of $15 per day. Please note that other terms and conditions also apply as part of the Vehicle Loan Agreement.
Our loan vehicles are in high demand so advanced bookings are essential.

What Are Some Of The Biggest Mistakes People Make When Buying A New Car?
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Hello, I’m keen to buy a new car but was just wondering if you could share with me, in your experience, what are some of the biggest mistakes people make when buying a new car?
A: Thank you for this great question! When buying a new car some of the biggest mistakes people make include not test driving the car, financing from an independent third party and third party fit outs.
Not Test Driving The Car: It is important to test drive the car so that you know what to expect from it. Sometimes people have been known to purchase cars online without test driving them, only to be very disappointed when the car doesn’t meet their expectations in real life.
Financing From An Independent Third Party: When you finance your vehicle from a third party who may not specialise in car finance they may not be as competitive or willing to assist you with the finer details of the transaction and it may take longer as there are now more people involved in the delivery process.
Third Party Fits Outs: This may include accessories or car care application products such as window tinting, paint and leather protection. When you involve a third party you can not always be sure of the quality of the products and services or the efficiency as there are now more people involved in the delivery process.
Fortunately, here at Adrian Brien Automotive we can provide you with a full range of products and services to help complete your car buying process in a professional and efficient manner – this includes having appropriately qualified Sales Professionals to assist you with test drives. Business Managers who can offer you a customised finance package to suit your individual needs including insurance and extended warranties. As well as Delivery Co-ordinators who can assist with car care application enquiries (window tinting, paint and leather protection). And because you are dealing with a trusted South Australian car dealership you can be assured that you will receive the highest quality products in a timely and efficient manner.
