This month our featured staff member is Paul Davis who recently achieved his Ford Master Technician status for 2017. Paul is our Workshop Foreman and one of his career highlights was being invited to Melbourne to participate in a Ford Master Tech Event and having the opportunity to test drive a Ford Falcon FGX on the official Ford proving grounds in 2015. Q: How did you get started in the automotive business?

A: My dad was a mechanic and I’ve always been around cars. I started with an apprenticeship in the Riverland.

Q: What do you like about working for Adrian Brien Automotive?

A: I like the sense of comradery, it’s a good company and they look after us very well.

Q: Do you have any tips for someone who may be interested in getting into the business?

A: You have to love what you do, work hard and be prepared to put in the hard yards.

Q: What is your primary role and is there anything you are promoting?

A: I’m the Workshop Foreman so I’m responsible for overseeing the repairs and workshop maintenance. Our Service Department offers Fast, Reliable and Trusted Car Servicing so give us a call on (08) 8374 5444.

Q: Is there a charity or community group that you currently support?

A: I like to support the Cancer Council, Beyond Blue, Mental Health and Men’s Health when possible.

Michael is one of our Car Cleaners and is the current record holder for runners aged between 65 to 69 years of age as part of the Gawler 5km Park Run (with a time of 24 minutes and 3 seconds). Q: How did you get started in the automotive business?

A: Well, basically, I bought a car, handed in my resume and got a job in the Ford showroom, that was back in 2011.

Q: What do you like about working for Adrian Brien Automotive?

A: I like working with the cars, it’s an opportunity to do something useful with my time and achieve something of value. Also, the people are nice and I like meeting new people.

Q: Do you have any tips for someone who may be interested in getting into the business?

A: Try to apply yourself to the tasks that you are given. Know why you want to join and whether it is suitable.

Q: What is your primary role and is there anything you are promoting?

A: I’m a Car Cleaner so I’m responsible for cleaning cars primarily for the Service Department and whatever I can do for everyone else. Our Service Department offers Fast, Reliable and Trusted Car Servicing so give us a call on (08) 8374 5444.

Q: Is there a charity or community group that you currently support?

A: I like to support the Salvation Army by donating my old clothes when possible.

Q: How did you get started in the automotive business?

A: I have done some training but mostly I just learn on the job. I was a Wheel Aligner and Tyre Specialist for 13 years. We needed a Workshop Controller so I just put my hand up for the role and got it.

Q: What do you like about working for Adrian Brien Automotive?

A: It’s a good place to work, a good company to work for with good people to work with.

Q: Do you have any tips for someone who may be interested in getting into the business?

A: Just have a go and do the best that you can.

Q: What is your primary role and is there anything you are promoting?

A: I am the Workshop Controller so I control the flow of work in and out of the workshop. I assign jobs to the technicians and fix problems as they occur. So get your car serviced with us and I’ll make sure that you are looked after.

Q: Is there a charity or community group that you currently support?

A: I am an Assistant Coach for the Flagstaff Hill Football Club Under 15s.
