As you may be aware, registration labels are no longer issued or required for South Australian light vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, trailers, boat trailers, horse floats and caravans.
This means that you no longer need to display a registration label, regardless of whether the vehicle is used in regional or metropolitan areas.
However, heavy vehicles weighing more than 4.5 tonnes still need to display a registration label.

This free smartphone application lets you:
- Renew your vehicle’s registration*; and
- Check the registration expiry date of any vehicle.
